This time I had a sidekick, Peggy. We enjoyed the walk at the Savage Mill trail along the Little Patuxent River. We crossed an historic bridge (see photo) along our trail. This bridge dates back to the mid 1800s and claims being one (maybe the only) of a few left in the states. It was made of iron throughout. It was a bridge used for crossing the river by the B and O railroad. It even has some historical significance during the civil war times.
Peggy and I enjoyed the outing together and treated ourselves with an ice cream cone after the walk. (Peggy--mint chocolate chip and David----butter pecan) I thought of Megan's many "bridges" she has had to cross during her battle with cancer.
